Revolutionary New LED Bulb Aims for Prestigious L Prize

Lighting Science Group Corporation and Prescriptions Innovators, LLC have developed a high output and low cost 60-watt replacement LED bulb, and will submit it for testing to win the Bright Tomorrow Lighting Prize (L Prize) competition. The bulb design is based on patented and patent-pending technologies developed by both companies. The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 established the L Prize to promote the development of a highly efficient, high quality LED replacements for the traditional 60-watt light bulb.

  1. LED lights are so much better than traditional light bulbs. The 60 watt bulb needed to be replaced as well, let’s hope it wins the L prize!

    It may win the prize but to win the lighting market the price has to come to at least 10 dollar from sky high 50 dollars.
